M&D West

M&D lacrosse is excited to announce a new branch of its successful club, M&D West, which will be located in Howard County, MD. M&D West will launch with one team for players graduating high school in 2028. Tryouts will be held July 12, 13, and 17 in Howard County.

The M&D program focuses on a team-oriented attitude that is displayed on and off the field. M&D plays against the best competition and athletes are showcased in some of the nation’s top events. The program is modeled after college programs, with emphasis on teamwork, discipline and dedicating themselves to lacrosse year-round.

Player Commitment

It is expected that any player who tries out for M&D (2023/24 Season) that makes a team will be playing for M&D during the fall of 2023 & summer of 2024. It is a full one-year commitment. The 2028 team will also be playing in the spring of 2024 in the NGLL. M&D does promote multi-sports athletes. Our stance is that lacrosse games and practices that occur in the spring and summer should take priority over all other sports. In the fall and winter, any lacrosse games or practices should take a secondary priority to fall or winter sports. Players will not be penalized for missing practices or games in the fall or winter.

For the classes of 2028 through 2033, M&D will be playing in the spring of 2024 for the 3rd Season. M&D will be participating in the National Girls Lacrosse League, playing 6 games in the season. There will also be playoffs and a championship for each age group. Games will be on Sundays. All M&D teams who win their brackets will be competing in the NGLL championships and festival on Memorial Day Weekend in May of 2024. The NGLL championships are run in conjunction with the NCAA women’s Final Four.
